The first stage of the HashedIn pool-campus drive was the coding assessment. It included three coding questions, ranging from easy to hard. Depending on the slot, the duration was either 2 hours or 1 hour 30 minutes. You had to solve as many as possible within the given time.
After the
assessment, around 56 students were shortlisted.
Round 2:
Technical Round 1
Since the
gap between the test and interview was short, it really helped to be prepared
beforehand. The interviewer in my panel was extremely friendly — the kind of
friendly where it feels like a real conversation, not a strict interview.
Most
questions were from core subjects, so being strong in OS, DBMS, DSA, CN, and
OOPS is important if you want to reach the next stage.
Toward
the end, I was given a coding question from LeetCode:
Sort the Matrix Diagonally.
I first explained a brute-force O(n⁴) solution, then gave an improved O(n²
log n) approach.
Round 3:
Technical Round 2
Results
for TR-1 came out the very next day, and only 30 students made it to the
second technical interview. Again, my interviewer was incredibly supportive,
which made the discussion comfortable.
He
started by asking me to talk about myself, then we discussed my projects in
detail. After that, he opened a Google Doc — his “favourite IDE” — and gave two
coding problems:
• Medium
to Hard level questions
• For the first one, he wanted both brute force and an optimized version
• For the second one, he wanted the best possible approach only
I
suggested an O(n³) and then O(n²) solution for the first
question.
For the second one, I gave an O(n) approach.
The
problems were:
• Triplets with Sum Zero
• Coin Change – Minimum Number of Coins (Greedy approach)
After this,
he asked me to design a database for a bank, and we had a detailed
discussion on that. Just like the earlier round, there were two interviewers
in the panel, so it’s important to speak clearly and avoid guessing. If you
don’t know something, just say it openly.
Round 4:
HR and Fitment Round
This
round took place on the same day. Only 22 candidates were left by this
stage. Even in HR, there were two interviewers, which shows how seriously
HashedIn conducts its fresher recruitment process.
The
questions were simple and personality-based:
• Your strengths and weaknesses
• Your career goals
• Plans for higher studies
• General background questions
The
interviewer was very kind and genuinely friendly, so the conversation felt
relaxed. After about 30 minutes, the round ended, and later the same day, the
results were announced.
