Deloitte visited our campus for an on-site recruitment drive. They first released a list of eligible candidates, and around 185 students were allowed to appear for the test.
Round 1:
Online Test (AMCAT Platform)
Test Duration: 95 minutes
The
online test had three sections:
• English – 25 questions in 25 minutes
• Logical Reasoning – 24 questions in 35 minutes
• Aptitude – 25 questions in 35 minutes
The
difficulty level was easy to moderate. Only one question appeared at
a time, so speed mattered a lot. The more questions you attempt, the better
your chances of qualifying.
Once the test ended, results were announced quickly, and out of nearly 650
students, only 90 moved to the next round from our college.
Round 2:
Technical Interview (12 August)
This
round mainly tested our subject knowledge, communication ability, and
problem-solving skills. My interview went on for about 45 minutes.
The
interviewer was kind and relaxed, which made the environment comfortable. He
began with, “Tell me about yourself,” and slowly shifted into the
technical part.
Some of
the questions asked were:
• Walk me through the complete flow of any one of your projects.
• Why did you choose MongoDB for your project?
• If a client asks you to create an application similar to Facebook, what
are the first five questions you would ask them?
• Which algorithm is used to sort a graph?
• If you get assigned a new technology with zero previous knowledge, how
would you handle the situation?
• Tell me about your certifications.
• Write an SQL query to find the sum of salaries of all employees whose name
is “Rohit”.
• What are your hobbies or interests outside studies?
• Why do you want to join Deloitte?
• Tell me one disadvantage of Deloitte.
• Do you have any questions for me?
After
this round, 30 students were shortlisted.
My
interview experience was smooth. It started with a short introduction, and then
the interviewer carefully went through my resume. When he asked me to explain
my project, I described everything clearly. He seemed happy with the
explanation and moved ahead without any doubt.
