Recently, I had the chance to go through the interview process for a Software Engineer role at Deloitte. The entire process involved multiple stages, starting from registration to the final result declaration.
- Registration: The process kicked off in January when candidates signed up for the Deloitte NLA. This was the first step for everyone hoping to land a role at the company.
- Shortlisting: After registration, Deloitte carefully went through resumes and shortlisted candidates for the next stage. Those whose profiles matched the requirements progressed further.
- Online Assessment: Once selected, we moved on to the online assessment phase, which lasted for 90 minutes. The test covered a wide range of topics, including aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning, computer basics, and programming logic. There was also a 30-minute coding round where we were given two problems to solve. I was able to solve both problems within 20 minutes, demonstrating my ability to work efficiently under time pressure.
- Interview (Technical + HR): Candidates who cleared the assessment were scheduled for interviews, which took place on February 6th. The interview focused on my knowledge of C++, Java, and MySQL, all of which were highlighted in my resume. Additionally, I was asked to solve two coding problems. I was confident in my responses and handled the questions well.
- Result Declaration: After the interview, all candidates eagerly awaited the final result, marking the end of a challenging yet rewarding selection process.
This experience helped me refine my skills and gain valuable insights into the rigorous hiring process at a top-tier company like Deloitte.
